Get your blood pumping with this intermediate level hike to a gorgeous viewpoint of Stave Lake area.

Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on pace
Meeting Location: We must carpool for this hike due to the very limited parking at the trailhead. We will meet at Webster's Corner Park. There are several parking spots along the side of Dewdney Trunk Road in front. Please DO NOT park in the school parking lot. See the provided photo. If you're coming from the Mission area, please let me know and we'll make arrangements to pick you up en route!
Trail: Hunter Logging Road
Distance: Approximately 7.7km, 324m elevation gain
Experience Level: Intermediate - Previous hiking experience recommended.
Description: I usually hike for the journey, but I'm dying to do this one, which is all about the gorgeous viewpoint at the top! (It's featured in the new Netflix Limited Series: Keep Breathing.) The hike follows a logging road, with a steady, gradual incline. It's an out and back hike.
What to bring: Please dress in layers, for the weather, wear comfortable hiking boots and bring a water bottle and a hearty snack or two. If it snows, micro-spikes are highly recommended to reduce slipping!
Friendly dogs are welcome but they must be leashed for the duration of the walk. If you choose to bring your furry friend please be mindful of the comfort level of those around you.
Please note that unless indicated, all MGW events are child-free. The purpose of this is so that we can focus on being us, without the stress or distractions that come from little people.
