Get your blood pumping with this intermediate level hike through the Thornhill forests.

Date/Time: Monday, January 30th at 9:30am 
Duration:  2 to 2.5 hours, depending on pace
Location: This trail begins at the Thornhill Trail access point (click for driving directions), which is just north of 102 Ave. on 256 St.  Please see the attached map.  There is street parking along the road.  
Trail: Thornhill Loop (starting at 256 St) 
Distance: Approximately 7.5km, 200m elevation gain
Description: No views but an awesome workout through a beautiful forested area.  Close to town, but still so beautiful!  Please note that there are some steep sections and uneven footing.  The trail can get muddy.
What to bring: Please dress in layers, for the weather, wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring a water bottle and a snack.  If it snows, micro-spikes are recommended to reduce slipping!

Friendly dogs are welcome but they must be leashed for the duration of the walk.  If you choose to bring your furry friend please be mindful of the comfort level of those around you. 

Please note that unless indicated, all MGW events are child-free.  The purpose of this is so that we can focus on being us, without the stress or distractions that come from little people.  If this weekday event doesn't work with your childcare schedule please know that we will be hosting events on weekends and evenings as well.  Thanks for your cooperation!
