Morning Hike (intermediate) - Apr. 13

Let's go on an adventure to Belcarra Regional Park to visit one of our region's well-loved hiking trails!  We'll carpool to save on gas... and because it's more fun.

Date/Time: Thursday, April 13th - meet at 9:15am
Duration:  Approx. 2 hours hiking time, 3.5 hours total time
Meeting Location: FreshCo Parking Lot - 20201 Lougheed Hwy. #300, Maple Ridge
Trailhead Location: Belcarra Regional Park (Picnic Area) Parking Lot - 4500 Tum Tumay Whueton Dr, Belcarra 
Trail: Jug Island Beach Trail
Distance: 5.1 km, 220 m elevation
Experience Level: Intermediate - Previous hiking experience recommended.
Description: Jug Island Beach Trail is located in Belcarra Regional Park. It leads to a relaxing, secluded beach. The trail is not too difficult but expect many incline/decline switches.  It is well-maintained with a mix of scramble, stairs and flat sections. Bathrooms are located at the parking lot and top of the trail.
What to bring: Please dress in layers, for the weather, wear comfortable hiking boots and bring a water bottle and a snack.

Friendly dogs are welcome but they must be leashed for the duration of the walk.  If you choose to bring your furry friend please be mindful of the comfort level of those around you. 

Please note that unless indicated, all MGW events are child-free.  The purpose of this is so that we can focus on being us, without the stress or distractions that come from little people.  If this weekday event doesn't work with your childcare schedule please know that we will be hosting events on weekends and evenings as well.  Thanks for your cooperation!
