Maple Ridge is full of beautiful trails, this one being no exception. If you haven't seen the beautiful interpretive ponds in front of Kanaka Stewardship Centre then you're in for a treat.

Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours, depending on pace
Location: Cliff Park, 25086 116 Avenue, Maple Ridge (see attached map)
Trail: Kanaka Creek Canyon Trail - please note that we will loop back on Pine Ridge Trail for some diversity.
Distance: Approximately 4km, 130m elevation gain
Experience Level: Beginner - No experience required. Easy pace.
Description: This trail has some ups and downs, a couple of which are a bit steep and a few stairs. The trail is really well-maintained, so footing is not an issue.
What to bring: Please dress in layers, for the weather, wear comfortable hiking boots and bring a water bottle and a snack.
Friendly dogs are welcome but they must be leashed for the duration of the walk. If you choose to bring your furry friend please be mindful of the comfort level of those around you.
Please note that unless indicated, all MGW events are child-free. The purpose of this is so that we can focus on being us, without the stress or distractions that come from little people.
