We cannot give from a depleted source.
When a mother is cared for the benefits spill over into her family and beyond.

Please join Moms Gone WIld on May 23th at 7:00pm at Westview Secondary School as we host our 2nd Annual Mental Health for Mothers presentation.  This event is completely free, with an option included for free childcare (see below).

Our speaker, Tabasom Eblaghie, is a highly regarded Clinical Counsellor based in Coquitlam, BC.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and practical tools relating to mental health and is passionate about providing people with the support that they need to live their lives healthily.  The backbone of her practice is empowerment, trust, and encouragement.

We are extremely fortunate to also welcome Honourable Judy Darcy, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions to say a few words about mental wellness during motherhood.

This is a conversation that we started in early 2018 with our first Mental Health presentation, by Nate Searle.  That event opened the door for hundreds of local women who were feeling lonely and unsupported.  It allowed us to realize that mental health is an issue that affects a large proportion of mothers and that we don't have to silently struggle. Since that first event Moms Gone Wild has been motivated to improve resources and support systems for mothers in our community.  It's something that we are passionate about because we know that when mothers are well cared for, families are well cared for.

This event would not have be possible without collaboration with local MLA Lisa Beare, Re/Max Agents  Sandy Hachey and Cassandra Rush, and childcare provider Little Willows.  We are grateful that businesses and individuals in our community understand the importance of mental health in motherhood!

Our facility can accommodate 375 guests so please invite your friends.  Insist that they join you in the gaining insight and tools necessary to take better care of themselves. We expect the workshop to run until approximately 9:00pm.

If childcare is the reason that you are not able to attend, Little Willows has a solution for you!  They are offering complimentary childcare during this event and will be based out of their 119 Ave location.  To register please contact Reaghan, owner of Little Willows, directly at reaghan@littlewillows.ca or 604-787-7501.  Please note that the childcare is not at the same location as the workshop.
